THE LAB

We are focused in investigation of nanostructured materials properties for applications in spintronics and nanomagnetism. We have been working mainly with nanopatterned heterostructures for spin transport investigation, e.g graphene and silicon based devices, frustrated systems for magnetic charge manipulation, magnetic resonance in heterostructures for magnetization dynamics investigation and superconducting heterostructures for quantum technology application. We are associated to the SISNANO national project with own facilities as Atomic Force and Magnetic Probe Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope, X-Ray Difractometer, Raman, Optical perfilometer, potentiostats, thermal evaporators, sputtering, MBE, Ion-Milling, closed cycle Cryogenic Magnetoresistive Measurement Systems and a full equiped Clean Room. Our principal international collaboration projects are currently with Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT, Spin electronics Research - SPINTEC, International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory - INL and Superconducting Quantum Electronics laboratoty (SQEL) in Pisa-Italy. Our national collaboration are mainly with Grupo de Nanoestruturas Semicondutoras e Magnéticas in University of Brasília and Grupo de Teoria de Campos e Simulações Computacionais em Física da Matéria Condensada (TCSCFMC) in Viçosa.
